Stefano Nadalini

UniversitĂ  degli Studi di Trento (C3A)

I come from Trento (Italy), I completed my BSc in Agro-environmental Sciences at the Free University of Bolzano and then my MSc in Viticulture, Enology and Wine Markets at the Universities of Udine, Padova, Verona and Bolzano. My MSc Thesis title is "Effects of nitrogen fertilization on plant physiology in two Vitis vinifera resistant genotypes after a Plasmopara viticola infection".

Afterwards I have been working as a laboratory and field technician at the Fondazione Edmund Mach, during the RELACS Project aiming at testing novel alternatives to copper based products to control P. viticola.

During my PhD I will be studying the populations of P. viticola in Trentino Province, aiming at assessing eventual fungicide resistance mechanisms. Moreover, I will test and characterise some candidate products for their efficacy in controlling this pathogen.

Project title: Research and Development of new biological alternatives based on Plant Extracts, Microbials and soft chemistry for the control of the Grapevine pathogen Downy Mildew (Plasmopara viticola) to develop new IPM strategies

Department and supervisor : University of Trento, C3A, Prof. Gerardo Puopolo.
