I come from Auckland, New Zealand.
I completed a Bachelor of Science with honours at The University of Otago. I majored in Food science and minored in consumer food science. My honours dissertation title was "Evaluation of Starch Digestibility of French Fries Pre-treated with Pulsed Electric Field (PEF)." My PhD project is a collaborative project between the University of Otago and Fondazione Edmund Mach. I started in July 2020 and my overall aim is to gain a mechanistic understanding of the transformations responsible for hop flavour development in beer.
