I come from Buti (PI), Italy, and my primary research interest is plant breeding.

In 2014 I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Science (final vote: 102/110) at the University of Pisa. In 2016, I also achieved my Master’s Degree in Agrifood Production and Agroecosystem Management (final vote: 110/110 cum Laude).

In October 2017, I won a PhD position at the University of Udine and I am currently working on a project that aims at the biochemical, metabolic and molecular characterization of pear-apple hybrids (PEARAPPLE-Omics’), in the ‘Genomics and Advanced Biology’ unit at the Edmund Mach Foundation of San Michele all’ Adige (TN, Italy) in collaboration with the ‘Mapping & Markers team’ at the Plant & Food Research Institute of Palmerston North (New Zealand).
