I completed my bachelor degree in "Biological Sciences" and my master's degree in "Ecobiology" at the university "La Sapienza" in Rome.

After my studies I worked at the BBCA foundation specialized in biological control.

My PhD project aims to study the effect of the presence of drone brood and then of adult drones on the fitness of Apis mellifera colonies, on the degree of infestation with Varroa destructor and on the presence of related viruses. In addition to these studies, the effectiveness of new substances of natural origin against Varroa destructor will also be evaluated from the point of view of behavior modification and not just mortality of the parasite.
